Liang is the latest addition to the Oops! Asia family and is currently the resident groovemeister in the Oops! Asia stable. Liang’s passion for music began in HELP Institute where he joined 6-man acapella group Legato; performing at various college functions & events. Legato has even had the privilege to work with critically acclaimed drummer LewisPragasam, performing with him at the Kiara Jazz Festival. Liang doesn’t just sing but also plays the bass, guitar & piano. He attends Glad Tidings Petaling Jaya (a member of the AOG churches), and is an active member at the Revival Service as well as the Youth Church’s
worship & music ministry.

Liang’s mini-album “8oz of Soul” is a fun R&B album with a mix of both fast & soulful numbers - all written by Liang himself, some in collaboration with other talents in the local music industry.

The first single “Show Me Whatcha Got” is a laid back groove track about showing one’s real self rather than putting up a front. It has hit number 1 on Hitz.fm’s Malaysian English Top 10 and continues to make its presence felt on the charts. As a result, Liang has appeared on Hitz.fm with Serena C, the Morning Crew, as well as on Hitz.tv’s Christmas Eve special last year in 2005. The music video for this track is already being aired on 8TV & Hitz.tv. In fact, Liang was also one of the guest artistes at Hitz.fm’s recent Birthday Bash in Melaka where he performed to an audience of 12,000 people.

Liang has an innate way of connecting with youth & young adults, not being too far away from teenage years himself. He is committed to achieving excellence in all his endeavours. The inroads he has made with the media and in the music industry are but an avenue to reach more people. Be prepared to get hit by 8oz of “Radical” Soul!
