Altered Frequency

Altered Frequency is one of the most energetic bands to come out of the Klang Valley. The band consists of Andy on lead vocals, Kysern and Daniel on guitars, Agnel on the drums and David Gary on bass. Altered Frequency is a band about change and their music serves as an anthem to live out loud without compromise in their values.

Their debut album "Exalt" was launched in December of 2004 and has been causing ripples in the local music scene; garnering a nomination for "Best New English Artiste" in the 2005 edition of Malaysia’s premiere awards "Anugerah Industri Muzik". The title track "Exalt" and "No" received airplay on Malaysian radio with the support of deejays at Hitz.fm, Red 104.9 and Xfresh fm. Their growing fan base was evidenced in the dominance of their latest single "The Sun Will Shine Again" on the Xfresh charts for many weeks!

The band has been blazing a trail all over the country; wowing crowds up north in Alor Setar all the way to neighbouring Singapore. Most recently the band hit Miri, Sarawak and played to a crowd of over 5,000 youngsters over a period of 3 nights. Event highlights for the band include the Asia Pacific Youth Alive Conference 2003 and Sonic Fest 2004, Singapore. They also had the privilege of opening for Desperation Band that same year. This year the band also shared the stage with international Christian rock act Sonicflood and Australian sensations Planetshakers at Sonic Fest 2005 in Fort Canning Gardens, Singapore. Another upcoming highlight is that AF will be opening for Delirious on 2nd Feb 2006 as part of AYA Festival 2006. The band plans to hit colleges in Australia early next year too! Other public appearances include Latte@8 with Jason Lo, Hitz.tv's Recovery (hosted by Serena C & Ferhad), TV3's Entertainment Now and recently, Hitz.tv's Aftershock. The band has also been featured quite extensively in print by The Star, NST & KLUE.

The raw sound that is Altered Frequency draws its inspiration from a variety of musical styles; jazz, rock, R&B or black gospel ... AF listens to them all. Musically the band is still in a state of evolution; developing an edgier feel in their music. They are currently hard at work on material for their next studio release so keep your eyes & ears open. One thing’s for certain; Altered Frequency will always be a band founded on friendship, burning with passion and led by vision.
